How it works

At Vita Health Group we recognise the positive impact volunteering has on both colleagues and the wider community. The volunteer support scheme (VSS) gives employees access to 1 day of paid leave per year to undertake suitable volunteering activities of your choosing.

“Over the festive period I took full advantage of the Volunteering Scheme and volunteered at Bury's Stray Cat Fund for the day! I spent the day clearing out the cat pens, preparing and distributing their food, assisting with some adoptions, and spending time with some new additions.

This was a great way to give back to the community and make a difference in some animals lives! #AdoptDontShop”

“I volunteered with our partners at Hartcliffe City Farm with the wonderful Rosie HumeHill and both of us had fantastic day. We learnt lots about how a market garden runs, as well as spending time with interesting people, having a delicious farm cooked lunch and we got to bring home some veg at the end of the day.

It was such a great break from my normal role and I felt a real sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.”
